AV Sales Engineer

AV Sales Engineer (Framingham, MA)We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Audio Visual (AV) Sales Engineer to join our team. This role bridges the gap between sales and technical design, ensuring that client needs are met with tailored AV solutions. The AV Sales Engineer will work closely with the sales team, clients, and project managers to design and propose commercial AV installations that align with business objectives and technological requirements.Responsibilities Collaborate with the sales team to assess client needs and develop customized AV solutions.Conduct site surveys and client consultations to gather technical requirements.Design and engineer AV systems, including but not limited to video conferencing, digital signage, projection, audio distribution, and control systems.Prepare detailed technical proposals, system diagrams, and equipment lists.Provide pre-sales support, including product demonstrations and technical presentations.Assist with estimating, pricing, and quoting AV solutions.Work with manufacturers and vendors to source AV components and stay updated on industry trends.Support project managers and installation teams to ensure smooth implementation of designed systems.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV system designs.Maintain strong relationships with clients, offering ongoing support and consultation.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelors degree (or equivalent work experience).3+ years of experience in AV system design, sales engineering, or a related role.Strong knowledge of commercial AV products and technologies, including Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, and Dante audio networking.Experience with AV control systems, signal flow, networking, and system integration.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design software is a plus.Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification preferred.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.About Superior Communication *****Superior Communication Services is a full-service technology design and installation company.
