Field Supervisor, Transformers

The Transformer field supervisor will be responsible for supervising the field assembly and inspections of HICO's transformer equipment. The position requires expertise in supervising HICO subcontractors and being the SME regarding assembly and installation of transformers in transmission, distribution and generating substations. The position requires expertise in reviewing factory acceptance test (FAT) report and Field (FAT) reports, transformer outlines, customer specifications, and ensuring HICO America's schedule and budget deadlines are upheld. Experience within a transformer manufacturing facility or prior experience with supervising EHV transformer assembly and warranty service inspections.ResponsibilitiesEnsuring safety is a top priority -internally/externally with customers and suppliersMust fully understand and comprehend customer's technical needsFamiliar with tier 1 and tier 2 OEM suppliers of transformer manufacturing (Arresters, bushings, relays, ETM, PRD, control cabinets etc)Working knowledge with all applicable industry standards including IEEE, ANSIMust ensure designs are compliant with customer and industry specificationsEnsuring timeliness of reviews of technical informationStrong communication skills, ability to multi-task, ability to prioritize are requiredPerform physical substation assembly/installation/testing ( In support of subcontractor)Communicate and correspond with customers, suppliers, HICO engineering and project managers.Expertise with Bushing connection to EHV transformersCapable of tolerating field job site conditions and performing internal inspections of transformersREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other technical disciplineMust have a minimum of 3 years of professional experienceCapability of solving difficult problems by modifying typical approaches, techniques, procedures, etc.Strong Problem solving and analytical skillsStrong Written and Verbal Communication SkillsWillingness to travel as needed, up to 75% of the timeHICO America provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.Industry
