Control Systems Specialist (PLC/HMI)Wichita, KSContech Control Services is seeking team-oriented professionals who have proven knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) configuration, graphics, and logic programming of industrial control systems, along with experience in field commissioning, and instrument troubleshooting.Primary Duties and **The Control System Specialist performs a wide range of duties, including the *Responsible for design, specification, selection, configuration, and testing services related to control systems, including PLC, HMI, serial interface, and networking in accordance with client and/or Contech Control Services standardsPlan, budget, organize, and control an important segment of automation projectsMay be responsible to assist with control philosophy and/or functional descriptionsCommunicate progress to project manager for inclusion into reports to clientResponsible for quality of the control system portion of the projectField commissioning and troubleshooting of the entire systemMay be required to respond to client requests for troubleshooting of control systems and field instrumentation.Seek opportunities for additional work from existing and new clients.Maintain a focus on safety by adhering to all Contech Control Servies, client and industry safety standards.*The Control System Specialist requirements include, but are not limited to, the *BS or AES degree in Engineering is preferred 10+ years of control system engineering experience related to Allen-Bradley PLCs, Allen-Bradley PanelView, and Wonderware are requiredAbility to troubleshoot issues with field instrumentation.Ability to use instrument configuration tools (Field Communicator 475, TREX, etc.)Configuration experience with other PLC, HMI, DCS, or SIS systems is a plusDemonstrated experience in technical execution on both FEL/FEED and EPC projects in the chemical and petrochemical industryPE license is a plusKnowledge of Microsoft software products is requiredWorking conditions are as *Position ** Full Time, Permanent, Full BenefitsStandard ***** Monday - Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30pm***** Occasionally***** Up to 25%
