Position OverviewUltimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a dedicated Culinary Quality/Supplier Compliance professional to join their clients team in Austin, Texas. This full-time, onsite role is perfect for someone who is passionate about food safety and quality assurance. The role will start at the end of March or beginning of April and is expected to last for six months or more. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $30-$34.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with suppliers to support efforts to obtain, review, and finalize documentation required for product and physical site approval status determination.Support specification development by reviewing supplier specifications for prepared foods and bakery ingredients.Review supplier surveys, food safety audits, and corrective/preventive action plans to determine ongoing approval status.Provide regular status reports to internal stakeholders, showing the progress of supplier reviews.Work within the FoodLogiQ system daily to update and/or evaluate product specifications for completeness and monitor significant supplier specification changes.Proactively assist the FSQA team with prioritizing and completing project work according to established timelines.Provide technical assistance to suppliers as needed to ensure they provide accurate information in a timely manner.Assist with food safety and quality ad hoc tasks.Ensure products are consistent with company core values, quality, and brand expectations.Qualifications2 to 5 years of food safety and quality experience within the food manufacturing industry.Understanding of GFSI and/or GMP audit program requirements.B.S. in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.HACCP and/or PCQI Trained.Ability to work effectively independently with minimal direct supervision, as well as within a cross-functional team.Excellent and proactive communication, written and verbal.Excellent and detailed attention to technical data.Ability to quickly learn how to effectively operate in a SaaS (software as a service) system.Ability to use sound judgment and know when to seek subject matter expert guidance.Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).Experience with specialty, natural, and organic foods is a plus.Required Work HoursMonday to Friday, full-time onsite in Austin, Texas.BenefitsThe position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $30 to $34.Additional DetailsThe ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience and a proactive attitude to help maintain and elevate food safety standards.
