We are committed to delivering high-quality, efficient, and innovative solutions to our clients.Position OverviewVavco LLC is seeking a highly skilled Biogas Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in biogas engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of biogas production, landfill gas systems, anaerobic digestion, gas purification, and pipeline injection processes. This role will involve leading biogas-related projects, overseeing system designs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement biogas solutions.Key Responsibilities - Lead and oversee the engineering, design, and execution of biogas-to-energy projects (landfill gas, anaerobic digestion, and renewable natural gas (RNG) systems). - Develop and optimize biogas purification and upgrading processes for pipeline injection or energy generation. - Conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and system performance evaluations for new and existing biogas facilities. - Provide mechanical and electrical engineering support for biogas processing equipment, including compressors, gas treatment systems, and storage solutions. - Ensure compliance with EPA, state, and local environmental regulations related to biogas production and emissions. - Collaborate with project managers, clients, and vendors to develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines. - Support procurement and construction supervision efforts to ensure projects meet quality and performance standards. - Assist in business development efforts, providing technical expertise in proposals and client meetings.Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering (or a related field). - Minimum of 7 years of experience in biogas, landfill gas, or anaerobic digestion engineering. - Strong understanding of biogas purification technologies, including membrane separation, pressure swing adsorption (PSA), and water scrubbing. - Experience with pipeline injection requirements, compression systems, and RNG upgrading processes. - Knowledge of environmental permitting, compliance, and safety regulations related to biogas systems. - Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Aspen HYSYS, or similar process modeling tools). - Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required. - Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams. - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.What We Offer - Competitive salary based on experience. - Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance. - 401(k) with company match. - Opportunities for career growth and leadership roles in a rapidly expanding field. - Collaborative and innovative work environment.How to ApplyInterested candidates should submit their resume and cover letter to bobolech@ with the subject line "Biogas Engineer Application - [Your Name]".Vavco LLC is an equal-opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
