Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university2-3 years of relevant experienceExperience with the Chicago Department of Transportation CDOT, Illinois Tollway, IDOT, or similar State DOT and/or local government agencies developing, delivering, and managing transportation design projectsMust have an IDOT documentation certificateMust be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of project team to complete tasksExperienced in and fully capable of using the Microsoft software suite including Word, Excel, and Power PointKnowledge of virtual collaboration tools such as ProjectWise, Bluebeam, and Microsoft TeamsProven leadership, communication, collaboration, mentoring and client liaison skillsNice to Have Skills & ExperienceWorking knowledge of roadway design software used to prepare engineering and design documents including Open Roads and Open Roads Designer (ORD)Job DescriptionManage a wide variety and complexity of highway related projects.Maintain project schedules and manage project financials including profit/loss responsibility and targeted direct margin.Coordinate staff required for internal project teams, including directing, coordinating and reviewing work by others.Perform design computations, oversee report, plan and specification development and sign and seal construction documents as necessary.Oversee and approve invoicing/billing and manage project scope and secure change orders as necessary, chase A/R and provide internal reporting as may be required.Work with other senior staff within Infrastructure & Transportation and other practices groups, as necessary, to execute project delivery.Act as clients representative with the client and subcontractors during project, negotiations, execution and close-out.Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for project pursuits.Develop and maintain client relationships.
