Verder Group manufacture top-tier instrumentation for various applications, including sample preparation, particle characterization, heat treatment, elemental analysis, metallographic sample preparation, and physical and dissolution tablet testing under 6 different brands.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Application Support Specialist for the Carbolite-Gero product line, specializing in vacuum chambers. This role involves interacting with a diverse group of prospects and customers, supporting them at all levels, and developing strong relationships with key account personnel and end-users.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting customers with troubleshooting by phone, email, and onsite for Carbolite Gero furnaces and ovensOnsite commissioning of new equipmentIn-house troubleshooting and repair of equipmentMaintenance of VSUS lab unitsUse of CRM and ERP system to generate accurate quotations for service and componentsUse strong communication skills, both written and verbal to support and maintain strong relationships with key account personnel and end users.Maintain clean and organized workspace.Job RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, or equivalent is preferred, however, adequate experience will also be considered.Experience:Relevant experience with high voltage electrical systems, vacuum systems, and PLC systems is required.Technical Skills:Strong working knowledge of vacuum systems to support and troubleshoot existing and new equipment.Familiarity with leak detection equipment is required.Familiarity with rotary pump maintenance is required.Working understanding of PLC systems and working through PLC HMI.Programming is not required, but the candidate must have a working understanding of updating existing PLC systems and altering parameters.Ability to safely work on high voltage three-phase systems; relevant safety certifications are desirable.Familiarity with multi-meter, clamp meter, and use of basic hand tools.Ability to read electrical, gas schematics, and technical drawings.Understanding of mechanical systems and comfort with mechanical assembly.Software Proficiency:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Soft Skills:Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.Other Requirements:Available to travel (up to 50%).What the company offersSalary and bonus incentivesLife/Health/Dental/Vision Insurance Included - all paid by company401K enrollment offered after 1 year of employment with up to 4% company match10 Vacation days and 10 sick/personal days allottedThe security and infrastructure of an innovative, sustainably successful company and a modern workplace
