Job SummaryWe are looking for an ambitious and energetic Commercial Sales Representative to help us increase company revenue by growing sales of Oldcastle products in Southern California. You will have the autonomy to create and apply an effective sales strategy. Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager. This position will include growing sales with commercial contractors, generating leads, hosting product presentations and training, and developing long-term customer relationships.Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for maintaining effective relationships with current contractors that lead to increased sales and revenueWork closely with customers and contractors to develop sales strategies that align with their business needsProvides technical expertise, sales presentations, plan reviews, first-level material take-offs, and job site visits as neededWork with operation team to efficiently plan weekly and monthly production plansParticipate in professional organizations relative to territoryWorking knowledge of long cycle sales and how to manage the processPromote products and educate customer base regularly on product offeringWork closely with the architectural team on projects and pipeline managementCommunicate regularly with inside sales on estimating and opportunity follow upWorks in a team environment by:Communicating about sales opportunitiesContributing to Oldcastle's Belgard Commercial branding efforts and participating in marketing programs and tradeshowsConducting internal and external trainingDeveloping and maintaining an opportunity tracking and customer/prospect database through Manages submittal documents and organizes available test data, product information, and environmental dataCoordinates sample submittals and job site mock-upsSeeks new uses and applications for company products with present and prospective customersStays alert to competitive products and marketing practices, and to keep management informedMaintain up-to-date customer and territory records and maintains CRM databaseParticipates in sales meetings, training programs, meetings, and trade showsOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as neededJob RequirementsExperience using Salesforce for accounts, sales and pipeline managementSales experience with contractors or installers in the building materials industryBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, training and education5+ years related experience managing a multi-million-dollar territory in building materials industryConstruction industry experience - familiar with the commercial construction process including retaining wall hands-on field experienceMust be able to read and understand construction drawings and project specificationsExcellent communication skillsValid driver's licenseAbility to travel overnight as neededAbility to lift products up to 50lbsAbility to navigate through a Customer Relationship Management platformExcellent interpersonal skills: the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with team members in other departmentsCompensationBase salary is $85,000 - $90,000Competitive commission packageMonthly Car AllowanceGas card provided for company usageWhat CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsA culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotionAbout CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
