Job Title: GIS AnalystLocation: Detroit, MichiganOnsite/Remote/Hybrid: OnsiteDuration: 6 months with possible extensionRoles/Responsibilities:Preform a wide variety of analytical and geoprocessing functions to create, maintain and retrieve dataMonitor of GIS environment - GIS Enterprise Portal (ArcGIS Server/Portal), ArcGIS Online, and SQL Relational databaseDevelop GIS solutions using ArcGIS software to enhance existing and future GIS projectsResponsible for meeting with the business and evaluating project/request requirements and providing guidance/solutions accordingly.Develop geographic databases, including designs and models. Comprehensive working knowledge of database concepts (including SQL DB)Assist with field data collection using ArcGIS Survey123 and ArcGIS CollectorAssist with training and technical support of end users and stakeholdersMandatory Skills: The successful candidate should have a broad business background, good interpersonal communications skills and a thorough understanding of GIS theory and applications. For consideration, the candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications:B.S. in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related fieldMinimum 5 years of related experience as a GIS Analyst working with ESRI Product suiteMinimum 5 years' experience related to Geodatabase management procedures, and relational databasesMinimum 3 years' experience of GIS programming/scripting languages (Python, SQL)Minimum 3 years' experience with Autodesk's AutoCAD, BIM, and the conversion into GISStrong written and oral communication skillsAttention to detail, customer focus, teamwork, and interpersonal skillsDesirable Skills: The ideal candidate will also have:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and easily transition from one task to another to complete projects in a timely mannerCertificate and/or Licenses: Geographic Information Science Certificate or equivalentGeneral knowledge of Maximo Asset Management SystemExperience with subsurface utility mappingExperience with interior building mapping and wayfindingExperience working with 3D GIS software (ArcScene)
