Job DescriptionLeading EPC firm in Houston is looking for a Construction Project Manager. The Construction Project Manager supports the Engineer Procure Construct (EPC) Project Manager or Program Manager to oversee day-to-day operations from pre-construction through project completion and warranty periods.The Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing the construction project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, proposals, estimates, documentation turnover, client relations/management, field staff and other duties required to execute EPC, Construction Management, Construction, and Program Management projects.This individual must have a bachelors degree and 7+ years of experience working on substation construction projects as a project manager or similar role.ResponsibilitiesEnforce safety programs, policies, and training while managing the Safety & Health performance of teams and subcontractors.Oversee construction activities and execution of single or multiple projects, including planning, scheduling, estimating, cost management, and achieving critical objectives.Build and maintain client relationships, including proposal development and project-related communication.Conduct risk reviews, negotiate contracts and change orders, and oversee contract administration.Implement project execution plans, including staffing, procurement, safety, quality, and construction strategies.Ensure project permits, compliance, and required documentation are secured and maintained.Manage project budgets, cash flow, reports, and internal/external stakeholder communication.Coordinate with engineering teams on deliverables, commissioning, and startup activities.Supervise subcontractor selection, scope development, bid processes, and contract management.Monitor project safety, quality, progress, cost reporting, and performance metrics.Oversee materials management, inventory, and logistics.Facilitate project turnover, warranty administration, and closeout procedures.Mentor and train team members, including interns and construction staff, and provide performance feedback.Manage labor resources, compliance with labor laws, and craft training and development.Control construction equipment inventory and ensure resource adequacy for projects.Represent the company in client, governmental, and community interactions.Provide leadership in earned value, schedule management, and cost forecasting.
