Millwork Estimator

Location: Brooklyn, NYCContract: PermanentSalary: Up to $120,000Job **Our client is a millworker contractor who create custom architectural wood installations, to residential, commercial, indoor, or outdoor space. Their work ranges from private jobs, such as personal libraries, to commercial jobs, such as lobbies, common areas, and amenities. They also specialize in cabinetry (in areas such as doctor's offices or corporate offices) and in creating furniture for places of worship.The small business was established in 2011 and since then they have been involved in numerous amount of projects across New York City.They are looking for an Estimator to join the team. The ideal candidate should have between 2 to 5 years experience estimating millwork projects, preferably in commercial or high-end residential projects, strong familiarity with different wood species, veneers, laminates, hardware, and finishes used in millwork and experience with woodworking, CNC machining, joinery, and assembly methods.The requirements of the role *Knowledge of pricing materials, labor, and subcontractor costs for millwork fabrication and installation.Familiarity with AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) standards, local building codes, and ADA compliance regulations.Experience with union vs. non-union labor cost structures.Background in architectural millwork, cabinetry, casework, doors, and trim for commercial or high-end residential projects.About ****Global recruiters specializing in architecture & construction in London, Paris, and New York.
