Job ***** Director of Engineering***** Hybrid - New York CitySalary ***** $125,000 - $175,000Job **We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Director of Engineering to lead our technical team in delivering innovative and energy-efficient solutions. This hybrid role, based in New York City, requires deep expertise in energy auditing, retro-commissioning (RCx), steam heating systems, and NYC local laws related to energy and building performance. The ideal candidate will drive strategic initiatives, manage engineering projects, and ensure compliance with evolving city regulations.Key *Lead and oversee engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.Conduct and manage energy audits to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.Implement and oversee retro-commissioning (RCx) processes to optimize building performance.Ensure compliance with NYC local laws, including LL87, LL97, and other energy efficiency regulations.Provide expertise in steam heating systems, optimizing performance and energy consumption.Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop sustainable engineering solutions.Mentor and guide engineering staff, fostering professional growth and development.Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.Qualifications & Must-Have *Extensive experience in energy auditing and identifying efficiency measures.Proven expertise in retro-commissioning (RCx) and building optimization.Strong understanding of NYC local laws related to building energy efficiency and sustainability.Deep knowledge of steam heating systems and their applications in commercial and residential buildings.Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).Professional certifications such as PE, CEM, or CBCP are highly desirable.Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.Why Join Us?Competitive salary ** $125,000 - $175,000Hybrid work environment with flexibilityOpportunity to drive impactful energy efficiency initiatives in NYCCollaborative and dynamic work cultureIf you are a passionate engineering leader looking to make a significant impact in the energy efficiency and sustainability space, we'd love to hear from you!
