Other Locations will be considered: Denver, Phoenix, AtlantaWe are seeking a Lean / Six Sigma Program Manager to lead process optimization and efficiency initiatives within our electronics recycling and refurbishment operations. Reporting to the CEO, this role will drive continuous improvement, waste reduction, and sustainability using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, ensuring our processes are efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible. The ideal candidate has a background in industrial or systems engineering and experience implementing Lean and Six Sigma strategies that drive sustained operational improvements. In this role the successful candidate will have a high level of autonomy to implement a program that delivers operational excellence across the organization.Key Responsibilities: Lean / Six Sigma Strategy & Process Optimization:Identify inefficiencies in sorting, dismantling, testing, and refurbishment workflows, reducing cycle time, defects, and waste.Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize electronics recycling, refurbishment, and material recovery processes.Lead value stream mapping, 5S, and root cause analysis (RCA) to improve process flow and maximize yield from recycled electronics.Standardize and enhance processes for data destruction, component recovery, and e-waste handling in compliance with industry regulations.Sustainability & Waste Reduction:Integrate circular economy principles into operational improvements to minimize landfill waste and maximize material reuse.Work with cross-functional teams to improve reverse logistics, inventory management, and remanufacturing efficiency.Implement real-time tracking and data analytics to monitor process performance and sustainability metrics.Change Management & Employee Engagement:Coach and mentor teams on problem-solving methodologies and waste reduction initiatives.Lead Kaizen events and Lean Six Sigma training for employees to foster a culture of continuous improvement.Collaborate with operations, logistics, and compliance teams to ensure process improvements align with industry standards (R2, e-Stewards, ISO 14001).Metrics, Reporting & Compliance:Define and monitor KPIs related to efficiency, yield, scrap reduction, and environmental impact.Develop and maintain dashboards to track productivity, cost savings, and defect reduction.Partner with Compliance to ensure conformance with e-waste recycling regulations, environmental policies, and industry best practices.Qualifications:Education & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred) or Green Belt with extensive process improvement experience.5+ years of experience in Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or industrial engineering roles within recycling, manufacturing, or supply chain operations.Knowledge of electronics recycling, refurbishment, or e-waste recovery processes is highly desirable.Requires ~50% travel to FCE locations in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Phoenix, Atlanta, Ocala, FL, Mexico City and Bogota, Columbia.
