Our Railway Transportation (Automated People Movers) Client, part of a large global conglomerate, is seeking: MANAGER - SITE OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE - Manage the maintenance and operations teams and processes of the automated transportation systems at the assigned site including overseeing the DBE programs, employees, and subcontractors (44 Employees total in operations and maintenance/repairs). Function as the organization's liaison with customer personnel, making decisions based on conclusions for which there is little precedent.MUST HAVE: experience with Automated People Mover industry or Fixed Gateway Transit SystemsRELOCATION OFFEREDEssential Functions: Oversee the maintenance and operations of the electromechanical systems including managing the staff, ensuring compliance with the contract and implementation of all safety requirements.Communicate as often as necessary to build solid relationships with customer management personnel to ensure the customer's needs are met in a timely manner and that the customer is fully satisfied with the services provided. Ensure that customer personnel are able to contact staff and receive immediate responses to issues regarding the continuing operations of the systems.Develop and submit for authorization an annual budget to fund the O&M activities at the site. Manage approved budget with daily reviews of financial reports reflecting costs for parts, personnel and other operating expenses. Ensure that expenses are within budget parameters and investigate and report to management on anomalies.Review weekly reports related to the system availability. Research and determine the causes of outages, develop trend reports, and address recurring issues with subordinates. Provide weekly reports on system reliability to customers and management.Manage and administer all subcontractor contracts as they relate to the O&M services provided, ensuring contract obligations are being met. Communicate any issues to management and investigate and resolve problems with subcontractor personnel.Manage, oversee and administer the DBE program. Review activity reports and compare program goals. Report monthly on goal achievement to customer and management.Work closely with Corporate Human Resources and Finance on all related matters.Coordinate with site HR representative regarding staffing, benefits, compensation, performance evaluations, disciplinary or other related issues for assigned staff.Ensure administrative and reporting requirements are met for the site.This is a 24 hour operation, with 3 shifts, must be available to work 2nd and occasionally 3rd shift (over night) as needed to oversee repairs and emergencies. BUT most days will be first shift. Other duties may include:Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed maintaining required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes, and policies.Lead and/or participate in projects or task force groups which focus on issues which have organization wide impact.Maintain a clean and orderly working environment and encourage departmental staff and subordinates to do likewise.Perform other related duties as assigned.This is a 24 hour operation, with 3 shifts, must be available to work 2nd and occasionally 3rd shift (over night) as needed to oversee repairs and emergencies. BUT most days will be first shift. Tools and Equipment used:Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS), computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications, and usual office equipment.Knowledge/License:Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in supervising an electromechanical operation preferred.Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle and have a satisfactory driving record.Must be able to secure and maintain airport security clearance.Must be able to pass post offer criminal background check.Must be able to pass the post offer drug/alcohol test, physical exam and Ishihara test (BlueGreen).This is a 24 hour operation, with 3 shifts, must be available to work 2nd and occasionally 3rd shift (over night) as needed to oversee repairs and emergencies. BUT most days will be first shift. Education:Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering or related field or equivalent experience required.
