We are looking for a:Mechanical Design Release EngineerThe Design Release Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and release of components and subsystems in conventional Automatic and Hybrid Transmissions.The Engineer will work with product design/release engineers and other groups participating to the project to specify and carry out development and partner with suppliers to complete design and qualify for production, ensuring vehicle program milestones are met/achieved.Develop technical level specifications for components and subsystems of conventional automatic and hybrid transmissionsCheck applicable engineering best practice are correctly implementedManage the supplier of the components to ensure components development milestones are met/achieved (supplier timing);Lead supplier meetings, provide guidance and direction and development using the appropriate change management systemDevelop DFMEAs or review supplier DFMEA and assess designs for failure modes robustnessCollaborates root cause analysis of transmission failures and identify the root cause/sDefine DVP&R plans to validate design and changesDeliver DVRR (Design Validation and Reliability Report) and complete applicable compliance reportsDevelop documentation and evidence to support program milestone review (Project Review, Management Review, TKO, CDR etc)Ensure appropriate use of Tools, Norms, Test Procedures and Acceptance Criteria for transmission componentsParticipate in Product Assurance Planning (Program Management), Quality Problem Solving meetings and will be supporting Supplier Quality during Process Sign-off (PS) and PFMEA reviews.Support manufacturing on production related issuesCollaborate with transmission systems group to address and support any failures using the appropriate tools and processesQualifications:- Master's degree in an engineering related field- Engineering experience in product development design and release with a minimum of 2 years of powertrain experience- Advanced English- Leaderships, organization, planning, decision making and high communication skills.- Proactive, Learning, self-driven, Teamwork oriented.- Efficient work under pressure and strategic thinking skills.- Competent in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)- The candidate shall have a solid knowledge of the main mechanical components related to transmission assemblies (gears, differentials, cases, etc) and of the technologies and related manufacturing processes- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)- Preferred knowledge of NX/TeamcenterBenefits offered by Teoresi, Inc.Teoresi, Inc. provides the following company insurance policies: Health, Vision, Dental, Life, Long Term Disability (LTD) and Short Term Disability (STD).Other benefits offered include 401(K) plan, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Vacation, Sick paid leave and Holidays.We are happy to receive your application! 😀We also inform you that, by sending your application, all your data will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy, which you can view at the following link
