Job Summary: Under direct supervision of the Lead Inspectors, HNO Maintenance Inspector shall be responsible for ensuring the mechanical integrity of the fixed mechanical equipment inside their assigned unit which includes pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping and piping components (e.g., valves), filters, heat exchangers, heaters, boilers, relief devices, platforms, ladders, handrails, and structures at both sites. The objective is to ensure that plant equipment is fit for new and/or continued service. This is applicable to all phases of fixed mechanical equipment design, procurement, fabrication, receipt and storage, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and decommissioning.Job Roles and Responsibilities: Perform all visual inspections and write reportsAnalyze UT dataFollow and PSSR all MOCs affecting the MI program.Perform and attend RCIsAddress process/operational questions, concerns, etc.Maintain relief valve dataInitiate deferrals of all fixed equipment (if needed) and track to completion.Remain in constant communication with operations, maintenance, and engineering.Ensure all MI procedures are adhered toPerform Clamp InspectionsInspect and stamp all bundles (new and old)Develop and review ITP's for upcoming turnarounds, shutdowns, cleanings, outages, etcIdentify potential CUI areas and make recommendations as neededPerform NDE as needed or when requiredReview and comment on packages from engineeringPerform tank leg inspectionsPerform ladder, handrail and platform inspectionsFollow all fixed equipment jobs from start to completion. This includes maintenance work, capital projects, turnarounds, etc.Ensure all final construction packages are correct and complete.Spot check fabrication and material (MTRs). Ensure that material adheres to TPC Gem Specifications for the service. Review all x-rays performed and witness all pressure tests.Review WPS, PQR and WPQVerify proper insulation and painting have been completed.Shop fabrication inspectionsEnsure code complianceRead and follow P&IDs, Construction Drawings, Inspection Isometrics, and Civil Drawings without assistanceVerify cathodic protection systems and testsCapable of creating piping isometricsExperience in circuitizing piping systemsDevelop and follow repair plans and scopes of workReport out on KPIsRequired Qualifications:API 510 with agreement to obtain API 570 within 1 yearMinimum 5 years inspection field experience in a chemical plant or refineryMust be able to climb laddersCannot have acrophobia or claustrophobia (tower, vessel, boiler, tank)Able to carry 50 poundsMust have a valid TWIC Card or ability to acquireMust have a valid Driver's License to travel to both sitesMust be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Drawing TrueViewMust be knowledgeable with the following codes and practices NBIC, ASME B16.5, 1, B31.3, Sect I, II, V, VIII, IV, API 510, 520, 521, 560, 570, 571, 572, 574, 576, 577, 578, 579, 580, 581, 582, 583, 620, 650, 651, 653, 2000, 2218 and an understanding of various ASTM, NFPA and NACE standardsMust have a thorough working knowledge of DOT and Coast Guard RegulationsMust be literate in PCMS as an administratorMust be literate in CMMS Maximo and OracleWorking knowledge of RBI programsPreferred Qualifications:API 570API 653CWI or CAWI Level II or III PT, MT, UTTFilm Interpretation
