Field Service Technician

Infinitum is changing the way electric drives are designed, built, and used with its patented air core axial flux PM machines utilizing printed circuit board (PCB) stators and its SiC-based power converters. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join a team that is revolutionizing electric machine technology.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team and provide exceptional technical support to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for performing installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of Infinitums IES Integrated Motor & VFD products at customer sites. You will also be responsible for documenting your work, providing technical feedback to internal teams, and developing relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction.**• Install and commission Infinitums integrated motor and VFD products at customer sites• Conduct on-site troubleshooting and testing of Infinitums integrated motor and VFD• Conduct on-site repairs to minimize customer downtime• Provide technical feedback to internal teams, including sales, product management, operations, and engineering• Develop strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction• Document all troubleshooting and repair activities• Provide detailed service reports that support department metrics**• Minimum of 5 years of experience commissioning and troubleshooting electrical circuits, 3 phase motors, EC motors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)• Minimum of 5 years of experience troubleshooting HVAC-related controls (Carel, Automated Logic, PLCs, etc.) and communication protocols (Modbus RTU, BACnet, RS-485, Ethernet TCP/IP, etc.)• Basic understanding of relevant electrical, motor, and VFD industry standards including UL, NEC, and NFPA 70E• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs• A valid drivers license and ability to travel up to 75% of the time, primarily in the US and occasionally in Canada• BS in engineering, technology, or 7+ years of relevant field service work• Ability to work in hot/non-climate-controlled environments• Proficiency in all safety standards such as LOTO, PPE, Fall Protection, etc.• Ability to work off ladders, man lifts, scissor lifts, etc on job sitesInfinitum is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
