The North America (NA) Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting the ongoing refinement of the companys supplier quality strategy and for executing initiatives consistent with the adjacent roadmap. The overarching objective is to materially reduce the cost of poor supplier quality by improving supplier quality performance and proactively reducing risks associated with incoming goods and services, all while protecting the company when failure does occur. The NA Supplier Quality Engineer is charged with ensuring that the quality of purchased goods and services meets all requirements, specifications and standards, and that all expectations, roles, and responsibilities relating to this are clearly defined and understood.The company is headquartered in Cary, North Carolina, U.S.A. and has three manufacturing sites in North America (Hammond, WI; Iowa City; IA; Malvern, PA), two manufacturing sites in Europe (Apeldoorn, The Netherlands; Forchheim, Germany), one manufacturing site in India (Silvassa) and one manufacturing site in China (Guangzhou).PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupports the refinement and execution of the Supplier Quality strategy.Leads all Supplier Quality strategic initiatives for the companys U.S. sites and supports initiatives in other regions.Executes the supplier evaluation program by actively managing and analyzing data from the supplier scorecard. Shares results and constructs improvement plans with suppliers.Leads the development and execution of the supplier audit program and Quality Improvement Teams (QITs).Manages Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) data and drives improvements to response quality and timeliness alongside plant quality.Leads the development and assists in the review and revision of supplier specificationsIn collaboration with Market leaders, puts in place quality agreements with selected suppliers.Supports new supplier qualification and onboarding processes.Manage Corporate Quality assigned systems.JOB SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSBachelors degree from an accredited university in engineering, science, or related field or equivalent professional experience. Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) certification preferred.Minimum 5 years of professional working experience supporting a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a quality-related field. Experience with paper, film, silicone, polyolefin, and/or chemical manufacturing is preferred.Strong working knowledge of quality management fundamentals, including but not limited to Failure Mode & Effects Analysis, 8D, Advanced Product Quality Planning, Six Sigma Principles, and Statistical Process Control.Ability to work cross-functionally, with a foundational understanding of how other functions align and integrate with supplier quality management. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with third parties, mainly suppliers.Extensive supplier auditing experience.Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, including but not limited to program development, certification, and maintenance.Proficient with Microsoft Office®.SAP experience, particularly S4/HANA experience, is a plus.Proficient with Minitab and statistical analysis.Strong oral and written communication skills. Full English fluency required.
