Job Title: Lead Controls TechnicianLocation: Los Angeles, CAOverviewWe are hiring a Lead Controls Technician to join our Los Angeles, CA team. In this role, you will install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC control systems for commercial and industrial facilities. If you have a strong background in controls, automation, and HVAC systems, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities:Install, program, and commission HVAC control systems, including building automation systems (BAS) and direct digital controls (DDC).Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring proper operation of HVAC controls and automation.Perform system upgrades, calibration, and software updates to maintain peak performance.To ensure proper system setup, read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customers to design and implement control solutions.Provide technical support and training to customers and internal teams.Requirements:Minimum 5+ years of experience with HVAC control systems, BAS, and DDC.Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming control systems such as Trane, Johnson Controls, Siemens, or Honeywell.Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, networking, and communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.EPA 608 Certification and valid drivers license.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Nice-to-Haves:Associates degree or technical certification in HVAC, electronics, or related field.Experience with advanced energy management systems.Knowledge of industrial automation and PLC programming.Location & Work Environment:Based in Los Angeles, CA, with travel to customer sites throughout the region.Work in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings, both indoors and outdoors.Requires occasional after-hours work for emergency service calls or system commissioning.Why Join Us?Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays).Opportunities for career growth and professional development.Work with cutting-edge HVAC automation technology in a dynamic industry.Supportive team environment that values safety, innovation, and work-life balance.Equal Employment OpportunityAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
