POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Manager provides leadership to the maintenance team while supporting the production teams. He/she plans routine preventative maintenance; implements, from conception to completion, projects involving design, procurement and installation of all capital equipment and tooling. Evaluates and develops new equipment processes or products and puts into commercial operation. Ensure that the needs of the machine operators are being met and that constant focus is placed in improving machine conditions. Maintenance manager must ensure that the mechanics are performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot repair and maintain facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, which include capital investments at the site to achieve site business goals and objectives. ResponsibilitiesEmployee is required to think and act with safety as the number one priority. Work hours may change, i.e., 8-12-hour shifts, nights, and weekend work when work is needed. Strong knowledge of PLC's Circuits, etc. Investigates and troubleshoot problems in manufacturing process. Recommends solutions and obtains or designs and purchase equipment required for solutions. Maintain maintenance preventative maintenance software. Determine root cause to mechanical & electrical failures to improve the site's uptime. Develop & sustain maintenance as a service culture for the production teams. Strong knowledge and ability to diagnose bad motors, blown fuses, bad disconnect timers, relays, etc. Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in general Capable of consulting a maintenance/technical manual and/or consult technical help over a phone to troubleshoot problems with equipment and resolve them. Technical ability to quickly analyze, troubleshoot, and collaborate with management to solve mechanical issues for industrial equipment. Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance on machines. Experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment with a demonstrated ability to work with machines, repair, and troubleshoot equipment. Plans, implements (with the appropriate approval from management), and installs electronic/electrical or mechanical modifications to existing building and equipment (not to exclude the wiring of new equipment used in conjunction with existing equipment and process) Troubleshoots and repairs electronic control devices within the capability of the shop (usually limited to replacing of whole circuit board assemblies) QualificationsEducation/Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of Mechanical and Electrical experience required. Management experience for at least 3 years. Language Ability: Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating procedure manuals. Also, must be able to write routine reports and correspondence. Person should be able to speak English. Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions, Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
