Intelletec Energy are partnered with a lean and successful developer and operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.=.We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to oversee all pre-construction and development engineering activities for this developers utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the US (50-300MW). This role is technical and will require expertise in system design, interconnection, permitting support, and technical risk assessment.The Engineering Manager will not have direct reports but will collaborate closely with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects are technically sound, feasible, and optimized for long-term success.Key **Lead engineering efforts across all phases of project development, ensuring feasibility, compliance, and efficiency.Oversee technical design, system layout, equipment selection, and interconnection studies.Provide engineering support for permitting, environmental assessments, and regulatory approvals.Work closely with C-suite executives to communicate & develop engineering strategy.Work closely with developers, EPC firms, and consultants to optimize designs and ensure cost-effective solutions.Manage interconnection applications and technical coordination with utilities and transmission operators.Support procurement strategies by evaluating technology, equipment suppliers, and technical specifications.Assess and mitigate technical risks in project development and execution.Stay updated on industry best practices, grid codes, and evolving regulations.Provide technical insights to support financial modeling, contract negotiations, and RFP responses.Qualifications & **5+ years of experience in engineering for utility-scale solar and/or energy storage projects.Strong expertise in system design, electrical engineering, interconnection, and grid integration.Experience in renewable energy permitting, regulatory compliance, and feasibility assessments.Familiarity with PV system modeling tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope) and power system analysis software.Understanding of NEC, IEEE, and interconnection standards for solar and storage projects.Proven ability to work cross-functionally with developers, utilities, and engineering consultants.Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering (Master's preferred).
