The position will develop and integrate consistent policies, procedures, and practices. The Sr. Director HSEQ is also responsible for managing the Company's sustainability program and overseeing facilities management.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSHSEQ & Risk Program Oversight:Manage strategic alignment, collaboration, and coordination of HSE processes and programs across the business and develop annual HSEQ KPIs to support the strategy.Oversight of all facilities project management including high levels of functional integration, action plans and execution over global facilities.Drive and promote a culture that delivers safe workers and a safe workplace.Informs the CEO and executive team about trends and issues to support policy creation and implement best practices.Work closely with communications and marketing teams to effectively communicate sustainability progress internally and externally.Actively and regularly engage with customer HSEQ departments and other industry bodies to drive collaboration and alignment. Manage and support HSEQ regulatory requirements and reporting as mandated by company and governmental agencies, including OSHA, EPA, DOT and state regulations for both field and manufacturing operations.Review incident investigations to determine root cause(s). Verify and/or implement corrective and preventative actions after review with operations management.Manage & maintain IDEAGEN STAR HSEQ system.Manage the HSEQ and Facilities organization team members and stability through training, development, and program opportunities.Lead the HSEQ Leadership Committee and support any additional safety committees across the business.Development of and strengthening of relationships with applicable local, state, and Federal regulatory agencies governing safety, health, and training.Responsible for managing HSE budget.Ensures that 3rd party databases such as ISN, PEC, Avetta etc. are maintained and up to date.Field Oversight:Work with Operational Area Management and field based HSEQ resources to integrate HSEQ into daily work procedures.Direct the implementation of HSEQ improvement/incident prevention methods based on data trending analysis to produce a safe working environment.Direct and confirm safety orientations and training are conducted in a timely, professional manner. Review and audit training presentations.Responsible for working with customers HSEQ Management on incidents or other matters of HSEQ concern.Responsible for tracking, monitoring, documenting, and reporting incidents to management on a regular basis.Provide positive, proactive leadership by example.Lead the Crisis Management Plan.Develop, implement, and approve safety-meeting topics.Support company D&A Programs in compliance with regulatory agency requirements and company policy.Review safely audits and provide reports to management and customers as required.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or related fields and 20 years of HSE experience, including 10 years of managerial experience. Experience in a global oilfield services company or drilling contractor, working with both US and international teams, is a plus.Proven experience recording and reporting occupational injuries and illnesses as per OSHA and European Union standards.Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA laws and regulations.An industry recognized safety certification or qualification such as a Certified Safety Professional, C.U.S.P., and/or NEBOSH.Willingness and ability to travel within the US and internationally to offices and remote locations.Strong ability to communicate, influence, and challenge effectively throughout all levels of the organization.
