About the Role We are seeking a Food Safety Manager to oversee and maintain our companys food safety program. This role ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, along with company-specific policies. The ideal candidate will lead food safety initiatives, identify potential risks, and implement protocols to prevent contamination and uphold food quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and manage food safety policies and procedures in alignment with health and safety regulations.Oversee compliance with food safety standards across all stages of food production or service.Conduct regular inspections to ensure proper food handling, storage, preparation, and sanitation practices.Address food safety incidents, such as recalls or contamination issues, and implement corrective actions.Perform audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product safety and compliance before distribution or sale.Maintain accurate records of audits, inspections, and compliance reports.Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with food safety laws.Work with operations and facilities teams to ensure warehouses meet certification standards.QualificationsBachelors degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field (or equivalent experience preferred).Certification in food safety programs (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP).Strong knowledge of Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards (e.g., SQF, BRC, Primus GFS).Experience in food safety management or quality assurance, preferably in food production or food service.Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Familiarity with ISO or other international food safety standards.
