Job Title: OSP Construction InspectorLocation: In the market Charlotte, NCJob type: Long term Contract Pay Range: $30/Hr -$40/HrMust have: OSP, fiber optic, Construction management, FTTP, material managementThe OSP Construction Inspector is responsible for managing all aspects of outside plant construction projects, including design, permitting, material acquisition, construction, and tie-in. This role ensures projects stay on track by monitoring progress, addressing issues, and making recommendations to meet cost, quality, and scheduling goals.Key Responsibilities:Project Coordination: Oversee the installation of Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) circuits, working closely with internal teams to meet customer deadlines.Planning & Budgeting: Develop project plans, estimate costs, and schedule construction timelines.Permitting & Approvals:Identify pole ownership, right-of-way, and permit requirements.Communicate with city, county, and state agencies to secure necessary approvals.Work with private property owners, railroad companies, and building owners to obtain easements and entrance approvals.Construction Oversight:Monitor contractor progress and ensure work meets quality standards and deadlines.Inspect contractor work and escalate issues when necessary.Documentation & Reporting:Read and interpret construction documents, including blueprints, plans, and fiber optic splicing diagrams.Identify potential conflicts in preliminary construction prints and attend coordination meetings as needed.Summarize solutions and provide logical recommendations to management.Skills & Qualifications:Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to analyze problems, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisionsStrong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilitiesComfortable working both independently and in a team environmentExperience working with customers in a professional and empathetic mannerProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to changing business needsPay Range : $30/Hr -$40/HrThe specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
