Job Title : Functional Test EngineerDuration : 6 months contract(possibility of extension)Location : Plano TX 75024 (Hybrid)Pay : $50-57/hr on w2 basis without benefits/holiday/vacation.Note: No C2CLocal TX candidate applyJob Description:What we're looking forAutomotive domain Knowledge and experience in testing automotive applications supporting connected services.Experience in testing mobile apps on Mobile devices, S/W on test benches and Simulators.Strong experience in devising End-to-End integration tests and validation of multiple systems under AWS Infrastructure.Proficient in testing Microservices that use REST and gRPC and other high-performance protocolExperience in testing, Test benches with Telematics Control Units, Radios and related Server integrationsAutomotive domain Knowledge and experience in testing automotive Connected Services.Familiar with preparing and articulating different test methods & approaches to validate service layer applications.Proficient in Log Analysis for both server and mobile applicationsPlan approaches and execute efficient iterative regression testing, using mocks and simulatorsKnowledge and experience in supporting and enabling the Automation and Performance teamsTeam player with exceptional collaboration skills and Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams, Dev teams, Managers and stake holdersGood at issue identification, follow-up, test metrics and reportingWhat you'll be doingPrepare the pre-requisites for the upcoming testing.Analyze Functional and technical Specs, Sequence flows, Epics, User stories, Use Cases, Wireframes and test Criteria and create detailed Test CasesPrepare test plans for test events / MilestonesExecute scripted and ad-hoc/freeform testsEnsure the integrity of test cases in JIRA and transactional updates in backend databasesTimely updates to JIRA tickets for issue resolution visibility and progressSupport Triage, defect prioritization, retesting and defect closureSupport Product Owners with joint test events (customer and suppliers)Attend program test events (functional testing)Build metrics and graphs for test case execution and defect managementReview Test plan, schedules, release plans, test casesSupport PROD deployment and drive testsQualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) - Highlight Top 3-5 skillsStrong functional testing expertise, especially with Mobile App, Web, API, E2E integration testing within the Automotive domain in AWS Cloud InfrastructureProficiency in different testing methods including execution of test suites, specifically for API testing using PostMan, and supporting automation and performance teams.Team Player with excellent collaboration and communication skills for working effectively with Agile/Scrum teams, developers, managers, and stakeholders.Motivated individual and Team Player, accepting changes and challenges, while responsible for delivery commitments and quality outcome.Added bonus if you have (Preferred):Experience in scripting and executing API automation using cucumber and rest assured framework. Proficient with Mongo DB.Knowledge and use of AWS cloud debugging and monitoring tools
