Lead Electrical EngineerMoetion Technologies is looking for a creative and passionate Lead Electrical Engineer to join our expanding team.Moetion Technologies is a design consulting business with a focus on electronic systems and product development for various markets. We specialize in advanced R&D proof-of-concepts, product design including wireless charging and induction cooking, process development including QMS implementation, and test automation.As a member of this multi-disciplinary team, you will be working closely with other engineers on project requirements, PCB design and development, tool development, design verification, and training to develop new products and technologies.ResponsibilitiesAs a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of embedded electronics hardware for Moetion Technologies and their clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for:·       Leading analog and power electronics design including wireless charging and induction heating projects·       Provide limited mentoring of interns, entry-level staff, and new hires (no more than 1 at a time)·       Provide limited project management support·       Creating and maintaining written design documentation including reviewing technical documentation of the engineering staff·       Completing assigned hardware development tasks including PCB schematic and layout, key component selection, and electronics hardware prototyping·       Leading design reviews with both internal staff and client staff·       Working closely with a cross-functional project team·       Attending project and company meetingsBehavioral/Values Characteristics·       Willing to be a team player, dependable, motivated, problem solver, and customer oriented.·       Willing to follow company guidelines and maintain confidentiality, honesty, and integrity.·       Effective communication and interpersonal skills.·       Effective organizational skills and attention to detail.·       Ability to provide problem solving solutions in the assigned area.·       Ability to mentor others in technical areasMinimum Qualifications (candidate must possess nearly all of these qualifications)·       At least 3 years of experience in electronics hardware design·       At least 2 years of experience with Altium Designer or equivalent·       System-level analysis and architecture skills in understanding hardware/software trade-offs·       Skilled at written documentation and oral presentation·       Ability to lead projects with minimal oversight and communicate effectively to key stakeholders·       Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or PhysicsPreferred Qualifications (the preferred candidate would possess at least some of these qualifications)·       At least 5 years of experience in electronics hardware design·       At least 2 years of experience with Altium Designer·       Experience in Inducting Cooking and / or Wireless Charging·       Experience in AC power systems (120VAC - 480VAC)·       System-level analysis and architecture skills in understanding hardware/software trade-offs·       Ability to lead projects and mentor interns and entry level staff·       Skilled at written documentation and oral presentation·       Hold a Master's degree in Engineering or Physics·       Some experience in wireless communications and IoT development·       Be able to write some code in C, C++, or PythonMoetion Technologies believes in setting employees up for success.
