Using a two-pronged business model, we create bothmaterials as well as our own consumer goods and provide solutions for companieslooking to incorporate sustainable materials into their products.Seeking a Senior Sales Manager for Fashion to launch our break-through, plant-based materials and grow our pipeline of top clients. This is a unique opportunity to launch an industry first material and be at the forefront of innovation. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual with a proven track record in generating growth and an established network of top clients.Location: RemoteRequirements and Key Responsibilities:This is an incredible opportunity for a driven and action-oriented Sales Manager to bepart of an innovative company in the burgeoning sustainable materials space as weexpand into new verticals. You'll be responsible for generating new sales in the fashionand footwear space from a growing number of Fortune 100 companies searching forsustainable solutions. To be successful in this role you need to come with anestablished client base and navigating among stakeholders. Your ability to identifyopportunities that are a good fit for our materials, objectives, and business plan will bekey. This role reports directly to the Head of Global Sales. Travel to clients is to beexpected.What We Expect from Youâ— 8+ years in leather, polyurethane, plant-based material and/or material sales forfashion, footwear, hospitality, furniture, etcâ— A proven track record of securing major contractsâ— Bachelor's technical degree preferredâ— A technical expert in polyurethane, leather alternatives, leather, and fabrics.â— An excellent communicator of product attributes, specs, and capabilities.â— Able to develop a solid understanding of each customer's objectives, businessoperations, selection and evaluation criteria, and general buying processesâ— Has top-notch networking skills to uncover and map all decision-making contactsand influencersâ— Can conduct market research and prospecting methods to further penetrateassigned target customer accounts (i.e., design and product developmentdepartments)â— Stays informed on industry news and market trends within the sustainablematerials space to develop product positioning and messages that differentiatethe companys materials over the competitionâ— Proactively interacts with assigned targets to understand the Voice of theCustomer, their needs today, and their needs in the future (i.e., perceived, andtangible value proposition)â— In-depth knowledge of various business functions within a materials organization:sales & marketing, customer service, logistics, supply chain, financeâ— Demonstrated ability to effectively navigate to and communicate with keydecision makers to close salesâ— Experience in industrial manufacturing, particularly in polyurethane, leather orother rolled goodsâ— Demonstrated ability to create compelling presentationsâ— Ability to make analytical decisions that generate growth and meet strategicgoalsâ— Can demonstrate to clients the our value proposition and persuadethem to use you"”the Sales Representative"”as an added-value resourceâ— Initiate and implement growth action plans and strategies for each target,providing feedback to managementâ— Uses a business mindset to apply best sales and marketing practices toefficiently close discovered business opportunitiesâ— Track and record all customer interactions in the company's frameworkâ— Proficiency in MS Office 365 suite / ExcelYour Skills, Traits & Style:â— A team playerâ— Engaging presentation skillsâ— Highly detail orientedâ— Has a passion for designâ— Cares for the environment and sustainabilityâ— Solid analytical abilities with a very good technical aptitudeâ— A detective-like mindset with an entrepreneurial approachâ— Outstanding ability to develop and maintain strong, long-lasting clientrelationshipsâ— Great English communication skills, both verbal and writtenâ— Phenomenal networking skills with the ability to effectively navigate to decision-makersâ— Organized with detailed record keeping and strong time management skillsâ— Affinity to problem-solving with great organization and time management skillsâ— High energy and drive"”positivity and adaptability to changeâ— Creative"”not afraid of trying and learning new thingsâ— Pragmatic"”you get things doneâ— Hands-on, Can-do, Can-try approach
