Sales Director

The Seattle Orcas are a professional cricket team established in 2023 and are one of the six founding teams of Major League Cricket (MLC), a new T20 cricket league in the United States. As a founding franchise of the MLC, the Seattle Orcas play a crucial role in promoting the growth of cricket in the U.S. The Orcas are owned by a diverse group of investors, including tech executives and entrepreneurs such as Satya Nadella (CEO of Microsoft), Soma Somasegar (Madrona), Sanjayv Parthasarathy (formerly of Microsoft), Samir Bodas (I Certuis), Ashok Krishnamurthy (Great Point Ventures), and the GMR Group, which also co-owns the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League, Dubai Capitals (ILT20), and Pretoria Capitals (SAT20)As part of the Orcas' ongoing growth and development they are now looking to identify and appoint to the newly created position of Director Sales. As Director Sales, your primary objective is to drive significant growth in sponsorship and new commercial revenue and secure new business opportunities. This role will lead the sales process, from prospecting to negotiation, ensuring successful long-term partnerships with both existing and new partners. Additionally, the Director Sales will oversee and collaborate with where appropriate agency partners to optimise sponsorship strategies, to maximise revenue streams and enhance the brand's presence.
