Position Overview:VP Supply Corp is a leading wholesale distributor specializing in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, kitchen, and bath products. With a growing multi-state presence, we are committed to providing "Pain-Free Construction and Renovations" through exceptional service, innovative solutions, and continuous improvement.We are seeking a Corporate Manager - Fleet & Safety to oversee fleet operations, material handling equipment, and workplace safety programs across our multi-state locations. As a Corporate Manager, you will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, enforcing safety standards, and optimizing logistics to support our employees and customers. This role ensures compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations, optimizes logistics, and promotes a strong culture of safety throughout the organization. This position requires frequent travel to VP Supply branches to support on-site training, compliance audits, and operational improvements.Key Responsibilities:Fleet & Logistics Management:Oversee the acquisition, maintenance, and optimization of VP Supply's multi-state fleet and material handling equipment to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Develop and enhance preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for fleet and material handling equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance.Optimize route planning and fleet utilization across regional and state boundaries.Conduct driver and equipment operator training in collaboration with branch Outbound Management teams.Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable pricing and service levels for all branches.Provide regular feedback to regional branch management on telematics and tracking systems (Cameras, Pictures, DVIR, Elite).Review fleet data with senior management quarterly, ensuring alignment with VP Supply's "Pain-Free Construction" objective.Safety & Compliance:Develop, implement, and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other safety regulations.Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training programs to reinforce a safety-first culture.Work with insurance partners to build and maintain a comprehensive multi-state health and safety program.Lead and expand safety team initiatives across all VP Supply locations.Regularly update and review safety policies, ensuring they comply with both regional and federal standards.Conduct New Hire Safety Training and ongoing safety education across multiple states.Present safety performance data and improvement proposals to senior management quarterly to drive company-wide safety enhancements.Qualifications:Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, and workplace safety, preferably in a multi-state environment.Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and transportation compliance regulations.Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across teams and locations.Familiarity with regional and national logistics and distribution models.Willingness and ability to travel to VP Supply branches.
