The Senior Project Manager will report to the Executive Vice President, Development and Construction, and will be responsible for construction activities from construction start through close-out.Typical responsibilities may include: Serve as Owner's representative and administer all construction activities.Participate in preconstruction activities.· Help prepare and track project budgets.· Prepare and monitor construction schedules.· Provide oversight of contractors' logistics plans.· Review and comment on contractor proposals, schedules, work scopes and budgets.· Perform constructability reviews.· Assist with preparation of project status reports · Monitor field activities and implement QA/QC program,· Review all proposed change orders· Review RFIs and identify those that could result in a cost to Owner.· Evaluate work progress and manpower to ensure the project is on schedule and identify events that could impact the schedule.· Review contractor's Application for Payment· Represent Ownership in project meetings, and take appropriate action.· Administer punch list completion and close-out· Interface with all internal and external parties associated with the project includingutility service providers and authorities having jurisdiction. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual, eager to work on some of Chicago's most iconic projects with a team that prides itself on quality and integrity.You Have:Between 10-15 years of construction experience as a superintendent or project manager on large projects - $20M+ Experience with the installation and/or coordination Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems.Experience preparing, negotiating and administering Guaranteed Maximum Price contracts.Familiarity with AIA documents.The ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative team environment.A keen interest in the development process beyond construction.Strong communication and negotiating skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Scheduling Software, Bluebeam, Procore, and other construction related software.A Degree in Engineering/Construction Management is a plus.
