POSITION AND SCOPETide Rock is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Business Development professional to join our fast-growing, dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for outbound business development activities to create and cultivate relationships with founder led businesses in alignment with Tide Rocks acquisition targets. Your ability to create deal flow and shepherd relationships through initial stages will be instrumental in driving Tide Rock's success.The ideal candidate should bring experience from a high volume, metrics driven environment with a track record of success generating top of funnel leads for corporate development teams. This role will be responsible for initiating new business opportunities, nurture ongoing relationships, and drive deal pipeline through predominantly outbound sales activities.DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIESIdentify and pursue a high volume of acquisition opportunities within manufacturing, value added distribution, and business servicesExecute daily outreach to potential acquisition targets via cold-calling, cold-email marketing, LinkedIn, networking events, etc.Develop strategies to achieve acquisition targets and maximize deal volumeBuild and manage a robust pipeline through prospecting, lead generation, networking, and moreEstablish and maintain strong relationships with current and potential future acquisitionsConduct market research to identify and qualify inbound and self-generated leadsPrepare and deliver compelling proposals to business owners within the manufacturing sectorAccurately track and maintain sales activities, pipeline reports, forecasts, and trends through CRMSuccess will be determined by the number of outbound activities and the number of high-quality opportunities generated for our Corporate Development teamSKILLS + EXPERIENCE REQUIRED5+ years' experience in sales/business development (ideally in the manufacturing sector)Proven track record of managing/maintaining high volume sales cycles and achieving sales targetsIn depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry trendsProficiency in CRM software such as SalesforceProficiency in advanced Sales technologies such as "SalesLoft" and other structured outreach toolsStrong interpersonal skills with ability to build trusted relationships across a variety of age and demographic groupsExcellent attention to detail and fact-finding abilityEDUCATION REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related fieldMBA or other relevant master's degree preferred*Uncapped OTE based on Sales Success
