Looking for an experienced salesperson in the construction/real estate industry to sell a highly sought after, patented product!Director of Sales **Currently there's 3 independent sales reps (contractors) each on the west coast, central and east coast USA. Now our client is looking for a full-time founding sales hire.Key ** ability to sell and think creatively... with a gritty start-up-hustle mentalityThis hire will be working hand in hand with C-suite to help map the sales and marketing ***** establishing strategic goalsCulture fit is key here as he/she will be the travel companion to all the relevant conferences and face to face meetings with the founderIdeally want this person to grow into overseeing a 3 person team (3 external sales reps currently on commission only, but plans to hire 3 internals throughout 2025) one in each geography west/central/east (so management experience is preferential)More important than the added bonus of managing a team would be experience at a rapidly growing companyOur client hasn't done outbound sales as such, but will look to get some social media help once the funding is secured (i.e. how to build an organic campaign and increase SEO)Good tenures important in past employment history as looking for someone who really sinks their teeth in and grows with a business (therefore open to equity offerings)In terms of location, nothing replaces face-to-face conversation and daily proximity so fully remote set-up won't work - the candidate has to be located in Richmond and happy to work hybridIn the beginning, the pay structure may look a little more in salary and less in commission while getting off the ground, then will move more into commission and salary 50:50 split like a typical AEWants to see a skill set (salespeople are people people, but someone who has experience with selling and travelling all over the US) - very relationships driven businessLikely $120-130K base salary- rapid growth and expansion (flexible for the right person)Our client wants fearlessness, courage and someone who embraces autonomy - the team really just gets stuff done as individuals!Our *****Our client sells into the new and retrofit construction marketKey buyer profiles - sustainability teams, facilities teams, architects, designers etcDue to supply lots of material but don't want it sat in a warehouse - (selling into data centers, AI logistics etc a big opportunity)Please send your CV through to be considered!
