Job Overview:We are seeking a Water Resource Engineer with expertise in CVP (Central Valley Project), SWP (State Water Project), and the Sacramento-San Joaquin Bay/Delta Estuary. The ideal candidate should have a PE license or be an EIT with the intent to obtain a PE in California.Key Responsibilities:Analyze water supply impacts from regulatory actions affecting CVP operations.Develop and implement hydrologic and operational strategies for water management.Utilize hydrodynamic modeling tools such as CALSIM, DSM2, and WEAP.Provide technical reports, recommendations, and presentations to stakeholders.Collaborate with state, federal, and local agencies on water policy and planning.Manage water transfers, conservation projects, and environmental compliance efforts.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Civil, Agricultural, or Environmental Engineering (or related field).Experience: Minimum of 5 years in water resource engineering, hydrologic analysis, and modeling.License:PE License (preferred) or EIT with intent to obtain a PE in California.Technical Skills: Strong background in hydrodynamic modeling, water policy analysis, and environmental regulations.Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.Benefits:401(a) Defined Contribution Plan (8% employer contribution).457 Deferred Compensation Plan (up to 5% employer match).Health, dental, and vision coverage (100% for employees, 75% for dependents).Generous vacation and medical leave.Employee Assistance Program & Optional Benefits (Life, Disability, AFLAC, Credit Union).
