The ideal candidate will be responsible for thoroughly understanding the processes they oversee and collaborating with production management to ensure the on-time production of 100 percent first-quality products. Key responsibilities include:Process and Product Innovation: Driving innovation in both processes and products to enhance overall performance.Quality Assurance: Ensuring the highest quality standards are met consistently.Safety: Identifying and mitigating safety hazards to maintain a safe working environment.Efficiency: Implementing strategies to improve process efficiency and productivity.Standard Productivity: Maintaining and improving standard productivity levels.Cost Reduction: Reducing total system costs through effective process improvements.Day to Day:Constantly improve the level of quality of the product of his assigned processesImprove the quality of the first quality from the assigned processes, with the objective being to drive the defect level to zeroDevelop detailed and complete process specificationsOptimize the process for increased productivity, minimum energy consumption, maximum process efficiency and minimum total system cost.Establish process specifications and set up process audits to measure conformance to process specifications and overall process control.Identify and eliminate all safety hazards associated with the assigned processes.Accountable for all off-quality that is process related and responsible for implementing corrective action.Responsible for process and product innovation. The process improvement function should constantly seek to determine what new products can be made on the process or how the process can be modified to produce new products or improve existing products.Document all trials and evaluations in the form of a technical report and properly communicate to management.Work with production management for proper utilization of process monitoring and feedback systems and specifically, statistical quality control techniques.Must be an interface between his manufacturing counterpart and the suppliers and customers so that he understands the effect of any changes in his raw material and supplies on the product that reaches his customers.Share joint responsibility for development of new products with engineer and serves as liaison between development and manufacturing.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
