Role: Mechanical Engineer 4Location: Building AC, Mossville, ILTypical task breakdown:CAD design and detailingTeardown follow-up and analysisResearch, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to maintenance crew.Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.Interaction with team:Weekly / Daily meetingsWork environment:Strong collaborationCandidate RequirementsEducation & Experience Required:Bachelor's degree in engineering required5-7 years total engineering experience3-5 years of detailing experienceMaster's Degree in engineering will be consideredTechnical SkillsPrevious experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).CAD DetailingExcel computationAbility to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.Experience with Teamcenter and CreoPrevious Caterpillar experience (1E spec's etc)FEA analysisEM/Thermal motor analysisCFD analysisRotating component/structural design backgroundSoft Skills :Strong communicator, both verbal and writtenHeavy initiativeAnalytical and problem solving ability.Team player and detail oriented.
