Allient-Rochester (formerly ORMEC Systems, Inc.), a subsidiary of Allient Inc., specializing in motion control systems which includes motion controllers, servo drives, motors, and integrated automation solutions is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Rochester, New York team! The Senior Electrical Engineer will develop and design Allient's next generation of motion control products. The ideal candidate will bring experience with the latest power and control electronics technologies and a track record of designing new products that meet challenging technical and commercial requirements for customers with demanding application environments. Apply now!Key Responsibilities:Conduct detailed circuit design, simulation, and analysis to optimize product performance, including power and control/logic electronics.Develop and implement testing protocols to validate the functionality and reliability of designs.Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in motion control systems and applications.Evaluate circuit topologies and circuit components through simulation and analysis.Develop and implement innovative system- and component-level control algorithms for a variety of power electronics applications.Test, validate, and troubleshoot the implemented control algorithms in simulation and on physical hardware.Develop detailed power and control electronics models to investigate and verify the controller algorithm's robustness and performance across the entire operating space.Define subsystem- and system-level tests to validate the newly implemented algorithms and their interactions with the existing features.Work closely in a collaborative environment with system, electrical, mechanical/packaging, and software engineering.Lead the hardware design and development of our servo drive, motion controller and power supply product lines, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.Contribute to the evolution of our product families through standardization, and continuous improvements.Leverage your expertise to drive innovation and integrate new technologies into our platforms to improve performance and efficiency.Develop a deep understanding of our core components and provide technical leadership to your peers.
