Allient-Rochester (formerly ORMEC Systems, Inc.), a subsidiary of Allient Inc., specializing in motion control systems, including motion controllers, servo drives, motors, and integrated automation solutions is looking for a Senior Applications Engineer to join our team!Allient-Rochester services the aerospace & defense, medical, semiconductor equipment, e-mobility & logistics, factory & industrial automation, and packaging industries. The Senior Applications Engineer will conduct and engage with customers to determine requirements related to manufactured products and serve as a liaison who will provide expertise and support for Allient's motion control and power solutions. This role involves collaborating with clients and internal teams to develop and implement customized solutions that meet specific application requirements. Apply now!Key Responsibilities:Provide collaborative pre-sales and post-sales technical assistance to customers to understand their application needs, recommend solutions, and achieve optimal integration of Allients products into their systems.Support Sales and Business Development team to investigate customer requirements, recommend solutions, resolve issues and expand product sales.Conduct product demos showcasing our industrial automation, motion, and controls solutions.Prepare and execute customer presentations, quotations, bid packages, and proposals.Utilize CRM system (MS Dynamics) for new business opportunities, sales qualified leads, quotes.Own or assist product managers in developing Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).Prepare technical documentation, including datasheets, user manuals, application notes, and training materials.Provide patient and positive assistance to customers, helping them understand our products and solutions in a way that establishes "trusted advisor" status.Develop expertise in our electro-mechanical product line, including servo motors, drives & controls, actuators, gearboxes, I/O, power management, and more.Conduct testing of new products and customer demos to ensure they meet client specifications and expectations.Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on product applications and functionalities.Work closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to provide customer feedback and assist in product improvement initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in application engineering, preferably in motion control or power solutions.Strong understanding of motion control systems, power electronics, and related technologies.Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Up to 20% travel to client sites, industry events, and other Allient locations required.Dont let this opportunity pass you by - APPLY TODAY!To learn more about Allient Inc. visit Allient Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
