Tigua is excited to expand to their new location in the Chantilly, VA area!This is a full-time, salaried position with a hybrid work schedule. The role will begin as fully remote and will later transition to a hybrid model, with the office located in the Chantilly, VA area.Job Purpose: Our client Tigua is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the development of scalable and effective BD practices within our organization. This role will drive pipeline growth, optimize proposal development, and integrate technology solutions to support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of government contracting, particularly within the 8(a) program or tribally owned businesses, and aproven track record of BD leadership. Experience with federal agencies such as the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Energy (DoE), and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is strongly preferred.Duties and Responsibilities:· Develop and manage a structured pipeline management system, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.· Oversee and optimize proposal development processes to enhance efficiency and success rates.· Design and implement BD processes and systems using scalable technology solutions, including Capture Exec and SharePoint.· Provide actionable data-driven briefings to leadership on pipeline status, revenue forecasts, and BD outcomes.· Conduct research and market analysis to identify and pursue opportunities with DoD, DHS, DoE, VA, and other targeted agencies.· Build relationships with federal agencies and clients, leveraging 8(a) or tribally owned business expertise.· Train BD team members and stakeholders to build internal capabilities andensure knowledge transfer.Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's preferred).· 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in federalgovernment contracting.· Proficiency with Capture Exec, SharePoint, and CRM systems.· Demonstrated ability to engage and build relationships with federal agencies, including DoD, DHS, DoE, and VA.· Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications:· In-depth knowledge of the 8(a) program and experience working with tribally owned or small disadvantaged businesses.· Proven track record of securing contracts with DoD, DHS, DoE, and VA.· Familiarity with NAICS codes 561210, 541990, 236220, and 541690.· Certification in proposal management (e.g., APMP)Compensation and Benefits:· Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses.· Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.· Paid time off (PTO) and holidays.· Professional development opportunities.The salary is 140K to 150K and is based on qualifications and experience"‹.EEO Statement: FosterThomas is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to equal employment opportunities in recruitment, hiring, promotion, training, compensation, and disciplinary action regarding the terms and conditions of employment.
