Information Technology Project Manager

Ready to grow your career? I think we should talk.We are seeking an IT Project Manager for a 6-month contract to permanent opportunity with one of our top-tier clients in Durham, NC. This role is hybrid with the requirement of working on-site 3 days per week.Job Purpose:The IT Project Manager will lead, oversee, and ensure the successful delivery and management of single or multiple projects. The Project Manager must do this within scope, to a certain quality, and within time and cost constraints. These factors may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value. Main Duties and Responsibilities:Analyze project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects.Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline a work plan.Establish a work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.Implement a project communication plan.Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans.Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the organization.Ensure that project goals are in line with business objectives.Ensure that project goals are achieved.Assign duties and responsibilities to project personnel and define the scope of their authority.Direct and coordinate the activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modified schedules or plans as required.Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.Benchmark project management performance continuously to identify the potential for improvements and increase capability in project and portfolio management.Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks. Communicate tradeoffs to business stakeholders.Work with business and delivery teams to prioritize requirements according to project goals.Help resolve competing priorities between stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions and escalating issues where appropriate.Explore new ways to increase customer or client satisfaction.Required QualificationsBachelors degree in business or related fieldProficient in Microsoft Office suite/ Office 365Strong written and verbal communication skills,Understanding of Technology solutions, e.g. Web Services, Cloud computing.Desired QualificationsExperience with agile development methodologies and agile planning tools such as Jira and Azure DevOpsFamiliarity with project management methodologies (for example, that of the ProjectManagement Institute, PRINCE2 and agile approaches)Sensitivity to working in a political environment and to interacting with senior leadershipStrong problem-resolution, negotiation, and influencing skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skills. Experience preparing and presenting Project proposals, progress, benefits, and risksExpertise in setting and managing customer expectationsDistinctive blend of business, IT, financial and communication skills.
