Summary: The Architectural Design Jr. Project Manager (PM) position assumes proficiency of Associate (AS) position and is under the direct stewardship of the Sr. Project Manager. The Jr. PM is directly responsible for managing the accounts, projects and teams that they are assigned. The intent of the Junior level is to be the initial point of entry for true management of content and resource development, where the focus is more on transfer of knowledge, development of subject matter and solving issues surrounding building code compliance. The individual will be expected to participate in strategy and planning for resource allocation and product development.Primary Duties:Project ManagementInitial point of contact for Central Processing, Customer Service, Production Department and the Client for all new & existing Product Development, Builder/Trade partner meetings, consulting and the communication and resolution of field issues and project statusThe primary on status and efficient management of projectsResponsible for managing their team to meet deadlines, answer questions, solve problems, and improve the profitability of accountsManage project workflow and communication across all applicable departmentsAssist with development of Scope of Work and pricing discussions for new and existing projectsAssist with Onboarding of new Clients and Projects to help define workflows and schedulingEnsure pricing standards for Clients and Accounts are properly applied to projectsTrack projects for completion and report status to accounting for invoicingRegularly review account performance and communicate with manager on statusDrafting and Plan DevelopmentResponsible for the technical accuracy of construction documents for all clients and projects they are assignedAssist with the preparation Construction Documents and details as neededSolve all problems within their knowledge and experience and consult manager on anything out of their knowledge and experienceProject Tracking and CommunicationMaintain log of work performedEffectively track time and job status to maintain efficient workflowEfficient and competent use of project tracking softwareReport to and communicate effectively with manager and Clients regarding project statusTeam Management, Mentoring and TrainingMentoring and training Designers and AssociatesAssist with effective knowledge transfer through the implementation of training practices and quality assurance processesReport to and communicate effectively with manager regarding mentorship and training effortsCompany Development and GrowthProvide feedback for the improvement of design tools and workflows to increase efficiencyParticipate on committees and work on special projects as assignedKnowledge:Minimum Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 3 to 5 years of related experienceAdvanced knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit/Applicable Discipline specific softwareAdvanced knowledge of ability to prepare Construction DocumentsAdvanced knowledge of various construction techniques and the Building CodeIntermediate knowledge of best industry practicesIntermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteDeltek experience preferredSkills and abilities:Excellent leadership skillsAbility to communicate and manage productive relationships with drafting resources and department managersAbility to accurately transfer industry knowledgeAbility to take ownership of the production process and the resulting finished productDetail oriented with a focus of accuracy and qualityExcellent organizational skillsThorough and precise with assigned tasksAbility to problem solve and make decisionsAbility to lead their team through example by demonstrating the Core Values of Passion, Integrity, Collaboration & Ownership.Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with Clients & Building Department officialsProficiency in English Language, reading, spoken, and written
