We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director to build and lead our sales and business development function from the ground up. This role is responsible for developing customers and executing growth strategies, establishing sales processes, and driving revenue generation for our metal manufacturing businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, sales leadership, and marketing within the metal forming, manufacturing, or industrial sector.Job Description:Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive lead generation, expand market reach, and maximize revenue growth.Develop and implement a structured sales and business development strategy to drive revenue growth.Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in both existing and emerging markets.Build and maintain strong customer relationships, develop key accounts, and establish long-term partnerships.Analyze market trends, customer demands, and industry competition to refine business strategies.Develop a clear strategy to consistently generate new leads and expand sales opportunities with existing customers.Identify and target new business opportunities through market research, competitor analysis, and industry networking.Develop strategic partnerships with key industry players, suppliers, and distributors to create new revenue channels.Implement sales automation tools and CRM systems to streamline prospecting, follow-ups, and customer relationship management. (ERP system used is JOBOSS).Monitor and adjust sales strategies based on evolving market trends, customer feedback, and competitive positioning.Lead expansion efforts into new sectors by understanding customer needs, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in Defense, Energy, Medical, Recreation, Transportation, Technology, Aerospace, and Automotive industries.Create & Drive Marketing & Brand Development:Develop and execute a marketing strategy, including branding, lead generation, and market positioning.Oversee the creation of sales collateral, digital marketing campaigns, and customer outreach initiatives.Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to increase visibility and attract new business.Drive/Support content marketing, social media presence, and digital advertising efforts to support sales growth.Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 8 years of experience in Sales and Business Development, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.At least 5 years of experience in the Metal Manufacturing industry, with strong knowledge of materials, processes, and market trends.Demonstrated success in new business development, lead generation, and client relationship management, particularly in Defense, Energy, Medical, Recreation, Transportation, Technology, Aerospace, and Automotive industries.Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute sales plans aligned with business objectives.Experience negotiating and closing high-value contracts while ensuring profitability and long-term partnerships.Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.Strong presentation and networking skills, with experience representing companies at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings.Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred.Compensation & Benefits Details Compensation:- Compensation will be based on base salary + commission/Incentive pay.- Compensation will be structured based on experience and expertise.
