Commercial Manager

Project Overview:The Walsh-VINCI Transit Community Partners (WVTCP) Joint Venture consisting of VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Walsh Construction has been selected to construct the $2.9BN Design Build Red Line Extension (RLE) project - the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). The RLE Mainline Design-Build (MDB) Project will extend the CTAs Red Line by 5.6 miles, extending from the existing terminal at 95th/Dan Ryan south to 130th Street and Doty Avenue. The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the management of the commercial, administration and contractual aspects of the main contract. Responsibilities:Serve as the legal expert for the management of the main contract with the Client Support the Business Manager in contract administration of the main contract letter, change order, variation management, claim writing Interface with Client, 3rd parties, and other Contractors Prepare and participate in ExCo meetings Qualifications:RequiredLegal Degree.Minimum of 10 years experience in a contractual administration position with main contract.Experience and knowledge in design & build project required.Experience in partnering with an executive team, with excellent verbal, analytical, organizational, and written skills.Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and has strong interpersonal skills.Experience working on Joint Venture (JV) construction projects required. Fluent in English with professional proficiency.Commercial awareness and ability to understand broader business issues.Valid Drivers License.
