Business Development OfficerRochester, NYJK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with three+one in search of a Business Development Officer to join its team! three+one, a leader in public-sector financial technology. This role plays a critical part in expanding the national presence and driving revenue growth by building relationships with finance and treasury professionals in the public and higher education sectors. This Business Development Officer will be expected to be entrepreneurial and self-motivated as you develop your pipeline of prospective clients to drive revenue growth by strengthening relationships and motivating user adoption of our technology solutions.The ideal candidate is a motivated professional with a strong ability to identify opportunities, engage decision-makers, and close deals.ResponsibilitiesConduct outreach, discovery, demos, and presentations to C-suite executivesBuild a pipeline of business opportunities by analyzing public entity financial statements, identifying key prospects, and executing targeted follow-ups using value-selling methodologiesDetermine prospective clients needs and goals through engaged conversations and strategic relationship-buildingUncover opportunities to bring solutions to counties, cities, schools, and higher education institutionsExceed key performance indicators for outreach, prospect engagement, and follow-upWork with leadership to provide visibility into prospecting and sales activitiesMaintain accurate and thorough documentation in CRM and pipeline reportsIdentify trends and market opportunities through industry research and eventsClose business deals by negotiating contracts and ensuring smooth transitions to business operationsTravel at least 35% of the time to attend conferences, conduct presentations, and expand business development effortsKey Skills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, IT, Computer Science, or a related field; a master's degree is a plusProven consultative sales experience with a strong ability to close deals is preferred, but not required.Strategic prospecting and sales planning expertiseAbility to simplify complex financial concepts for decision-makersHigh energy, professionalism, and integrityStrong time management and attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and CRM toolsSalary RangeBase salary $70-90k + CommissionsJK Executive Strategies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
