A leading civil infrastructure contractor specializing in civil infrastructure projects, including roadways, utilities, grading, and site development are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Agtek Takeoff Technician to join our team.Position Overview:The Agtek Takeoff Technician will be responsible for utilizing Agtek software to perform takeoffs and quantity surveys for a variety of civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in using Agtek to produce accurate and timely material and quantity estimates, ensuring that the projects specifications and budget are met. This role will collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and the field team to ensure the efficient execution of all project phases.Key Responsibilities:Agtek Takeoffs: Perform digital takeoffs using Agtek software for earthwork, grading, and other civil infrastructure projects, including calculating quantities and generating reports.Data Accuracy: Ensure all data is accurately input into Agtek and verify calculations, addressing any discrepancies or issues with project teams.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to gather necessary project data and clarify any questions related to project specifications, designs, and materials.Preparation of Estimates: Assist in developing and refining project cost estimates by providing accurate material and quantity takeoffs.Project Support: Provide ongoing technical support during the construction phase, including addressing takeoff-related questions and offering solutions to resolve potential issues.File Management: Organize and maintain project files, ensuring that all takeoff-related documents and reports are up-to-date and accessible.Software Proficiency: Stay current with Agtek software updates and best practices, continuously improving workflow efficiency and accuracy.Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and industry regulations throughout the takeoff process.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in civil construction takeoffs, with a focus on earthwork, grading, and utility projects.Agtek Proficiency: Strong proficiency in using Agtek Earthwork, Agtek Takeoff, or related software tools for digital quantity takeoffs.Technical Skills: Solid understanding of civil engineering drawings, plans, and specifications. Proficient in interpreting blueprints, site plans, and project schedules.Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and resolve discrepancies.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.Education: Degree or certification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred but not required.Other Skills:Experience with other construction estimating software (e.g., ProEst, HCSS, or similar) is a plus.Strong organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
