JOB DESCRIPTIONA family-owned manufacturer of liquid rubbers, plastics, epoxies, clays, foams, high-performance paints, and other special materials used by commercial enterprises and individual consumers for an endless variety of applications is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join their growing team. This company HQ is based in Macungie PA and is seeking a candidate within a 45-minute commute. The Sales Rep will excel at face-to-face relationship building and materials consultation at customer locations, and trade shows globally. The estimated average travel is 4 nights per month in a hotel or roughly 48 days per year. Extensive training will be provided and ramp up is expected to last approximately 4 months - becoming hands on to learn the products will be essential. We are seeking a go-getter who is kind, has clear communication skills, isnt afraid to get their hands dirty and learn, and is ultra-resourceful when it comes to utilizing Chat GPT, Google, YouTube, and LinkedIn Learning to help you find answers and prepare for whatever comes next. As technical consultants, our outside sales reps never "pressure" for sales, but rather serve customers by helping them solve problems, save money, and achieve their project goals. Our best reps are LOVED by customers because they are so knowledgeable, capable, and dedicated. This is not a commission-based role, and you will not have a sales "quota". Comp for this role is Base Salary + Performance Bonuses. This resource will manage all communications and contacts in your sales pipeline - conducting high volume of outreach, appointment scheduling, and follow-ups via phone, email, videoconference, social media, etc.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE-Skilled sales professional with a successful track record - Become a subject matter expert in mold-making and casting, industrial materials, and special materials processing - Lives in the Lehigh Valley or ~45 minutes from Smooth-On HQ in Macungie - Comfortable with traveling globally - Open-Mind, Positive Attitude, Willingness to Learn with an entrepreneurial "Get it Done" & Extreme Ownership Mindset - Time & Energy Management Skills - Undeniable Modern Technology Skills - Clear Communicator - verbally and in writing - twitter & digestible formats - your updates are a delight to read - Highly Organized - a cloud storage savantNICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE-Previous work experience with a focus ***** Engineering, solution based selling, software selling, chemicals, aerospace, construction, contract sales - Bilingual (Spanish), Military Background, Fast Type SpeedCompensation:$65,000-$95,000 + performance bonusExact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
