The Executive Director serves as the CEO of the Maine Better Transportation Association and is responsible for overall stewardship of the organization, in partnership with and reporting to the Board of Directors. With responsibility for all program areas, this candidate will execute all areas of need for the organization including management in the following ***** fiscal, operational, program development, community relations, and board relations.WHO WE AREMaine Better Transportation Association (MBTA) was founded in 1939 as the Maine Good Roads Association. With a rich history of bringing diverse people together to improve transportation infrastructure in Maine, MBTA changed its name in 1983 to reflect its advocacy for funding infrastructure for all modes of transportation. Members include municipalities, businesses and individuals with common interests who share the goal of advocating for funding of a multimodal transportation network - air, roads, rail, port, transit, bicycle and pedestrian facilities - to serve communities and citizens throughout the state.
