Program Description:The Electrical Engineer 2 will be involved in all electrical activities including: reviewing EOR documents, executing electrical takeoffs and specifications, creating shop drawings and installation details, and conducting engineering testing activities, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), deviation resolution.Essential Job Functions:Essential job functions represent the fundamental job duties and accountabilities of the employment position the individual holding the position must be capable of performing. Make recommendations and/or updates to design as required.Generate scope of work for electrical projectsMaintain electrical section of project estimate sheetAssist the commissioning group in developing commissioning strategy, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) documentation for each PODGenerate punch lists to track items requiring correctionWrite work instructions and SOPsContinuous Improvement ProjectsAutoCad/Revit Design - 20%Review/Create electrical installation details for manufacturing departmentReview/Create electrical shop drawings to further explain EOR design intentReview/Perform lighting studies using lighting calculation softwareCreate parts libraries for use in AutoCad Electrical and RevitElectrical/Lighting Takeoffs -30%Create and maintain tool to enable rapid electrical material takeoffsPerform/Review Electrical Takeoffs for all POD projectsPerform/Review Lighting Takeoffs for all POD projectsComplete/Review Electrical Bill of Materials for all POD projectsAcceptance Testing Activity Execution - 10% Assist in FAT activities to ensure proper functioning of electrical systemFollow Good Documentation Practices Document and correct discrepancies/deviations that occur during testingTravel to client sites, interact with commissioning team, collaborators and suppliers Participate in SAT activities to ensure all integration requirements satisfactorily meet project requirements Supports External Departments as Needed - 10% May support communications and document exchange between the company and engineering firms, customers, 3rd party integrators in conceptual design and detailed electrical design discussionsMay travel to equipment vendor locations to better integrate with 3rd party product linesAssist other departments as needed to ensure seamless integration between electrical and POD mechanical systemsPosition SpecificationsQualification Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.Education and/or Experience:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience:Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Construction ScienceMinimum of 5 yearsExperience with VFDs, electrical distribution, and electrical constructionRequiredExperience with and knowledge of National Electrical CodeRequiredAbility to read and understand plan drawings and electrical schematicsRequiredExperience with AutoCad Electrical software and Revit BIM softwareRequiredSkill in computer functions such as word processors, spreadsheets, and internet usagePreferredTechnical writing experiencePreferredExperience in and/or knowledge pertaining to pharmaceutical cleanroomsPreferredKnowledge of HVAC systems, in areas of design, common control strategies, installation, sequence of operationsPreferredKnowledge of commissioning in accordance with cGMP standardsOther Abilities:Up to 20% TravelExperience working with multi-disciplinary teamsAbility to make decisions and recommendationsAbility to demonstrate professionalism with personnel and managementCollaborative team playerAbility to gather, organize and analyze information skillfullyAbility to manage multiple projects concurrently
