About the Company - LifeTech Staffing is seeking highly skilled Custom Toolmakers with expertise in Swiss milling machines to support the precision manufacturing of medical devices. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, modifying, and optimizing custom tooling to enhance machining efficiency and quality. Candidates with backgrounds in medical device manufacturing are preferred, but those from industries such as oil and gas with strong machining expertise may also be considered.Key **Design, develop, and modify custom tooling for Swiss milling machines.Work closely with engineers and production teams to improve machining processes.Troubleshoot and optimize CNC programming for Swiss milling operations.Ensure precision and quality compliance in line with medical device manufacturing standards.Train and mentor operators on tooling best practices.Collaborate with external vendors if needed for tooling procurement and setup.Preferred **5+ years of experience as a Toolmaker, Machinist, or CNC Programmer specializing in Swiss milling machines.Experience in medical device manufacturing preferred (implant industry a plus).Strong CNC programming skills, including setup and troubleshooting.Background in precision machining from industries like oil & gas is acceptable with proper training.Ability to work as a full-time, part-time, or consultant (semi-retired machinists encouraged to apply).Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
