The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization of electrical systems to support the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of power generation principles and control equipment. Join us and be a part of a team that powers the future!About **** Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering is required, Masters preferred.15+ years experience in power generation, industrial electrical systems, high-voltage equipment and protective relaying.Familiarity with SCADA, PLC, and DCS systems used in power generation facilities.Understanding of IEEE, NEC and OSHA safety standards.Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.Experience in power plant operations, including startup and shutdown procedures.Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques such as motor testing.*****Oversee the electrical systems associated with gas and steam turbines including generators, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Develop and implement maintenance programs for high-voltage systems, circuit breakers, relays and MCC's.Support plant operations by analyzing system performance and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.Collaborate with mechanical engineers, control system engineers and operations teams to ensure seamless plant operations.Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and control diagrams.Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance and operations personnel.Participate in root cause analysis and failure investigations for electrical equipment.All candidates must be local to Houston, TX and possess valid US Work Authorization.
