The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting civil engineering projects related to power generation infrastructure by performing design, analysis, and field inspections. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management capabilities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.Essential FunctionsAssist in the design, development, and analysis of civil engineering projects, including power plants, substations, and supporting infrastructure.Conduct site investigations, surveys, and assessments to support project planning and execution.Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project execution.Utilize civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other modeling tools for design and analysis.Perform structural and geotechnical analysis as required for power generation projects.Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions.Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and engineering standards specific to the power generation industry.Key Skills and QualificationsExceptional communicator- direct and transparent, skilled problem-solver with proven success in building coalitions and avoiding conflictsTotal ownership mentality- proactively identifies and removes obstacles across numerous ongoing tasksIndependent thinker- provides original thoughts and constantly asking "how can we do this better"Innovative thinker- willingness to consider novel solutions and ability to adapt to changeDesirable teammate- impeccable character, humility, and collaborativeRelentless- aspires to contribute and achieve his/her full potentialExperience/EducationBachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one preferred.3+ years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in power generation, energy infrastructure, or related projects.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and other engineering software.Strong knowledge of structural design, geotechnical principles, and environmental regulations.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and within a team to meet project deadlines.Experience with permitting processes and regulatory compliance within the power generation sector.Our CREATORS CultureAt Solaris, we believe that staying true to our core beliefs improves our decision-making, productivity and is key to our individual and collective achievements.
